Samantha Parrish began sewing out of necessity when she was a teenager. After her mother and grandmother taught her the basics, she became fascinated by the process of making clothes. She began to sew pieces for herself, friends, and family, whenever she had the time. Eager to learn more, her grandmother taught her to knit and crochet, which opened up even more avenues for creativity.
After graduating high school Sammi decided to further her fashion education at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Here she learned even more about the creative design process and honed her skills while personalizing her style and design aesthetic.
Sammi had the opportunity to show her knitted and crocheted womenswear designs in Pittsburgh Fashion Week (2013 & 2014), while in college. With the help of her professors she also began working freelance, teaching, and assistant design positions.
Throughout her college career Sammi has focused on womenswear, childrenswear, and textile design, hoping to continue working in this industry professionally.
